Skin

Skin

GENERAL INFORMATION
SKIN, a seating system, is the result of the collaboration over many years between Jean Nouvel and Molteni&C. A design which aims to combine research, technology, design and workmanship at the highest levels. SKIN offers innovative technology, such as its supporting frame in tubular pretensioned aluminium, with foam rubber inserts which act as the base for the structure cover in double face hide leather, featuring self-modelling geometric incisions. The cover cannot be removed.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
The product was designed for domestic use in domestic interiors; never jump up on structural parts. Avoid doing maintenance on components of products yourself, contacting your retailer with regard to any problem that may arise. Normal use of the product causes a change in the colour of the covers and a significant deformation of the same. These conditions do not alter the overall functionality of the products. The presence of any odours given off by the product, when unpacked, does not constitute a source of danger and disappear when it is exposed to an airy surroundings. When the product must be moved, keep it up off the floor to avoid damage to parts that rest on the floor.

MAINTENANCE - HIDE LEATHER COVER
The utmost care must be taken with leather parts as stains are very hard to remove. Stains caused by liquids or other substances must be removed quickly using an absorbent cloth. For proper product care, the surfaces should be dusted and cleaned regularly with a soft wool cloth as this will revive the leather. Twice or three times a year, use a soft cloth to apply colourless wax for vegetable-tanned leather. The surface of the hide leather used may present signs from the animal’s life (scars, different grains, wrinkles, hard skin); these should not be seen as flaws but signs of quality. As time passes, the covers will be subject to wear and exposure to the light.

DISPOSAL
Once discarded, neither the product nor its components should be dispersed in the environment, but rather consigned to public disposal systems.
